AEC Road Accident: Forensic Specialists Team From Delhi Visits Site

Guwahati, 30 May: A group of forensic specialists from Delhi reached on Tuesday to the spot of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of seven Assam Engineering College (AEC) students in Guwahati’s Jalukbari area.

According to reports, the team is thoroughly investigating and taking the evidence from the two vehicles that were involved in the collision which claimed the lives of seven people and injured another six.

A terrible accident in the Jalukbari area in the early hours of Monday claimed the lives of seven AEC students while injuring another six.

It is to be noted that seven students of Assam Engineering College were killed in a road accident in Jalukbari on Sunday midnight. The Scorpio lost control while speeding at night and first hit the divider and then hitted a parked bolero pick up van. Three people in the bolero pick up van were also severely injured. All the deceased were third year students of Assam Engineering College and residents of hostel number 7.

Following the incident, the AEC officials formed a 10-member committee to investigate the factors that may have contributed to the big accident and gave them two days to present a thorough report.
