Guwahati: Jailed legislator Akhil Gogoi was discharged in the second case related to the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act movement in Assam by a National Investigation Agency court on Thursday.
Gogoi has been arrested since December 2019 for his alleged role in anti-CAA protest in assam.as he has been suffering for some health issues he has admitted to GMCH.
The NIA court has discharged him from the case lodged in Chandmari in Guwahati. Earlier court had discharged him from the other two cases which was lodged in Chabua.
Last week Gogoi was granted permitted to visit his family for two days permission.
