Arunachal: Papum Pare District Election Officer Reviews Preparations for Vote Counting
Northeast Desk, 22nd May: The Papum Pare District Election Officer (DEO), Jiken Bomjen, conducted a comprehensive review on May 22 to assess the arrangements and readiness for the designated days earmarked for vote counting.
With the counting of votes polled in the simultaneous 2024 State Assembly and Parliamentary elections scheduled for June 2 and 4, Bomjen convened a meeting to meticulously examine the preparations.
Various aspects including security arrangements, randomisation of counting personnel, Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) recounting, movement of ETPBS from strong rooms, Media Cell arrangements, traffic management, and communication center logistics were extensively discussed during the session.
During the meeting, the DEO emphasized the importance of all nodal officers thoroughly familiarizing themselves with the guidelines to prevent any last-minute challenges.
Earlier, the first phase of training for the counting personnel had been conducted at the ZPC conference hall, laying the groundwork for the forthcoming vote counting process.
