Arunachal: Portion of National Highway Washed Away Due to Heavy Rainfall

Northeast Desk, 25th April: In a recent development, a significant section of National Highway 313, crucial for connecting Anini to Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, has been washed away due to relentless rainfall.

The district administration of Dibang Valley issued a notice, informing residents of the extensive damage caused by the continuous downpour. The notice stated, “Due to the incessant rainfall prevailing in the district, a significant portion of KM package-I, NH 313 connecting Anini to Roing, was washed out on 24/04/2024. Restoration efforts are anticipated to take at least three days. Therefore, all residents are advised to avoid traveling on this road until repairs are completed and rainfall subsides.”

Residents have been urged to exercise caution and refrain from traveling until repair works are finished and weather conditions stabilize, emphasizing the need for safety amid the challenging situation.
