Arunachal Welcomes Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for Two-Day Visit
Itanagar: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to arrive in Arunachal Pradesh on October 30 for a two-day visit. Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended a warm welcome to Singh on behalf of the people, highlighting the significance of his visit.
During his stay, Singh will inaugurate the Major Ralengnao Bob Khathing Museum of Valour and unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Tawang on October 31. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik, and Deputy CM Chowna Mein will also attend the programmes.
Khandu praised Major Khathing’s heroic deeds, noting his bravery in leading an expedition to bring Indian administration to Tawang in 1951. He also expressed gratitude to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for integrating princely states into India.
Singh will celebrate Diwali with soldiers stationed along the India-China border in Tawang during his visit.
