Guwahati: A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Nagaon district of Assam on Tuesday.
The deceased woman identified as Asulota Mallik.
The incident was reported from a tea garden in Rajagaon village.
Another person was seriously hurt as a result of the attack. He has been identified as one Sappan Mallik.
Sappan was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after the incident.
