Guwahati: A 23-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Barpeta district of Assam on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Sarkar who is a resident of Hatigaon locality of Guwahati city.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, Sarkar was living in a rented house for the past four months of a man identified as Dalim Das of Jyoti Nagar near Simlaguri Sub Post Office of the district where the incident occurred.
She was reportedly working at the ROYAL UNISEX SALON&SPA on the first floor of the Meghna complex in North Barpeta Road, which is part of the Barpeta Road police station of the district.
Meanwhile, after getting the information about the incident the police officials reached the spot and the body has been sent to Govardhana Police Station for post mortem.
However, the reason behind her dead is yet to be ascertained and further investigation into the matter is underway.
