Guwahati: The Government of Assam has targeted to vaccinate three lakh people daily from Monday. The government has targeted that this process will continue for the next 10 days starting from Monday.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said government offices in the state will be only engaged in the vaccination process next week and no government work will be done during that period. Government employees will have to get vaccinated by June 30 and all government offices will resume from July 1.
The Chief Minister further added that since the government is considering to allow private offices to operate till 5 pm from the coming month, all employees of such organizations have been asked to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
It needs to mentioned that on Saturday, Assam has received 2 lakh Covishield and 30,000 Covaxin Vaccine doses.
