Assam: AIUDF MLA equates RSS with Jinnah
Guwahati: Rafiqul Islam, a member of the All-India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Tuesday said that Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are similar in that both wanted to divide the country based on religion.
Islam stated, “Jinnah separated the country into two sections – India and Pakistan. The BJP and RSS, meantime, are doing the same thing, dividing Hindus and Muslims, Dalits and non-Dalits.”
The AIUDF MLA stated that his party opposes individuals being divided based on caste, community, or religion. “However, the BJP government is instilling enmity in the country, which is not a good indication,” he remarked.
In response to the film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ the MLA stated he had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits.
“The Prime Minister is endorsing the film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ and he should begin the process of rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits.” He should also hold an investigation into the killings in Kashmir, which are the PM’s and the BJP government’s responsibility. The Kashmiri Pandits should be treated fairly. The BJP’s motto, on the other hand, is to spread hatred,” he continued.
