Assam: Aminul Islam Files Nomination for Nagaon Lok Sabha Seat; AIUDF Chief Ajmal Extends Support

Guwahati, 3rd April: Aminul Islam has officially entered the electoral fray for the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency by filing his nomination papers. Accompanied by AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, Islam submitted his candidacy documents at the Nagaon district commissioner’s office.

His nomination signifies a significant shift in the political dynamics of the region, backed by the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).

Displaying confidence in his campaign, Aminul Islam led a spirited rally from Siloni Chachali, drawing thousands of supporters. Amidst resounding chants and enthusiastic displays of solidarity, Islam expressed assurance about his victory in the upcoming elections.

Aminul Islam will face competition from Pradyut Bordoloi of the Congress party and Suresh Bora of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who has clinched the party’s ticket for the constituency.

Meanwhile, another candidate has emerged in the race for the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat. Shikha Sharma, a native of Nagaon district, has filed her nomination independently for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. In a separate event at the district commissioner’s office, Sharma submitted her nomination papers, signaling her determination to contest the election as an independent candidate.
