In response, the All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) has called on the Arunachal Pradesh government to address issues surrounding the Inner Line Permit (ILP) and ensure the safety of commuters from Assam. They have requested the establishment of an ILP office at the Likabali Check Gate to streamline travel and prevent future incidents.
AAPPTF President Dobin Sonam emphasized the need for peace and cooperation between the two states. He also noted efforts to lift the economic blockade imposed by the Assam Public Transport Union in retaliation for the violence, which has disrupted travel and transport between the states.
