Assam CM makes implicit dig at Rahul Gandhi, says ‘Grandmother sprayed bullets, Grandchild doing sewa’

Guwahati, 2nd October: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on October 2 made a veiled reference to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, where he mentioned that his grandmother had used bullets, and now there is a grandchild doing “sewa,” referring to it as “Mohabbat ki Dukaan.”

Sarma had previously criticized Rahul Gandhi for using this term in a political speech, stating that it wasn’t in line with their values.

He argued that associating “Mohabbat” (love) with a “Dukaan” (shop) might imply love for gaining votes, which could be misleading in politics.

Sarma also questioned whether Rahul Gandhi had ventured into psephology and emphasized that surprises are rare in Indian politics, adding that Gandhi lacks the courage to stand up to him.
