Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma today morning visited the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital and take stock of the treatment facilities including critical care for the Covid-19 patients.
During the visit CM Sarma directed the hospital authorities to cater for 50 oxygen concentrators by Friday and to make 15 bedded ICU ward operational within 2 days.
He further instructed the Joint Director of Health Services to travel extensively to ensure better treatment and facilities for the Covid patients. He also asked the authorities to speed up the RTPCR test to have 20% of the total Rapid Antigen test and also to intensify vaccination drive and procure required doses from Guwahati.
