In a press release on 17th May, the Government of Assam in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation has decided to impose a 15 days of travel ban on Inter-district movement effective from 21st of May (Friday).
The suspension of movement was imposed on all Inter-district transport services and movement of individuals to and from other districts.
The step was taken in a bid to break the chain of Virus transmission in order to reduce the positive cases coming from outside a district, officials sources said.
