Assam CM Visits Tripura; A Political Stunt Ahead of Bypolls

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited to Tripura to support rally for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the impending by-elections on June 23 on Sunday.

Sarma was greeted warmly when he arrived at the state capital of Agartala’s airport on Sunday morning.

CM Sarma will be in the state for three public rallies and a road show.

He will attend events in the West Tripura, Dhalai, and North Tripura districts during his tour.

Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, Sarma shared a glimpse of his arrival to Tripura and wrote, “Humbled to receive such a rousing welcome from @BJP4Tripura karyakartas at Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport, Agartala. Their energy and enthusiasm always inspire me.”
