Assam: Congress Leader Calls for Enhanced Communication on Bangladesh Crisis

Guwahati, 7th August: Amid the escalating political crisis in Bangladesh, Gaurav Gogoi, Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, has urged for continuous dialogue between the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and opposition leaders. Gogoi emphasized the need for the MEA to keep the opposition informed about the Indian government’s actions regarding the crisis.

He stated, “I want the Ministry of External Affairs to remain in constant touch with the leaders of the opposition parties. Keep providing us with information about the steps the Government of India is taking. We are also getting information from various sources. If there is a dialogue between the government and the opposition parties, then we will also be able to convey our information to them.”

Gogoi stressed that regular communication is crucial, as it would enable both the government and opposition to share valuable insights and contribute effectively to diplomatic efforts concerning the situation in Bangladesh.
