Assam: Cyber attack in OIL’s Headquarters at Duliajan

Guwahati: Oil India Limited’s registered headquarters in Assam’s Duliajanis allegedly under cyber-attack, prompting the business to take down all of its computers and IT systems, according to a spokesman.

Employees witnessed outrages on Monday, according to reports. The ransomware attack is thought to have occurred on Sunday. The systems have been shut down since Monday, and OIL spokesperson Tridiv Hazarika indicated that attempts are on to rectify the problem.

“After learning that three to four PCs were infected with a virus on Monday, we were obliged to disconnect all of our computer systems from the LAN.” He went on to say that There is now no internet connection on any of the computers in the headquarters.

It may be mentioned that at the Duliajan Sadar Police Station, the OIL has filed a FIR. Debugging is now underway. “The degree of the damage has yet to be determined by the IT department. OIL is trying to resolve the problem.
