Assam: Elephant found dead in Tinsukia, electrocution suspected
Guwahati: The carcass of an elephant was found at Jagun village in Tinsukia district of Assam.
The incident took place near the Pengeri Khatang Forest Office under the Dumduma forest division.
A preliminary investigation into the death has revealed that the elephant could have been killed due to electrocution.
It may be mentioned that the mark on the elephant’s body, it was killed by an electric wire installed in the village.
