Assam: Fake gold racket busted in Biswanath, 1 held

Guwahati: Assam police busted a fake gold racket and arrested one person in Biswanath district of Assam.

The arrested person has been identified as Hasinur Rahman.

Borgang Police Station launched an operation on National Highway 15 seized around 60 kg of fake gold last night.

The police further seized a mobile phone from his possession for further investigation.

According to reports, during a daily checking at the highway the police saw a car coming at a high speed from Lakhimpur then the officials ordered the car to stop. But following the directions of the police, Rahman moved towards Tezpur.

Following it Police from Bihali and Borgang police immediately chased it and managed to catch the car.

Moreover, the police officials informed that the car is registered with the number AS07 T1545.

During the search operation the police officials recovered the fake gold from the accused.

It may be mentioned that the news has been shared by the newly appointed Superintendent of Police Nabin Singh at a press conference held at Biswanath district superintendent of police office today.
