Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested two persons and seized suspected brown sugar in Jorhat district.
The two arrestees were identified as Abhishekh Das and Raju Saikia.
During an operation searched by the OC Pulibor and TSI Jorhat against drugs, the officials seized around 5.81 grams of suspected brown sugar at Milan nagar Maidhya nakari gaon. The suspected drugs were covered from the residence of the accused.
The police officials informed that one scooty and one bullet bike also seized for further investigation into the matter. The scooty is registered with the number AS 07 T 4860 while the bullet is registered with number AS 03 X 0410.
Moreover, one mobile phone was also seized by the officials.
Legal action has been initiated and further investigation is underway.
