Assam: Keshab Mahanta Visits Construction Site of Cancer Hospital in Mangaldoi
Guwahati: Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta visited the construction site of Cancer Hospital in Mangaldoi Town of Darrang district on Friday.
When the minister visited the site, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the progress of the work and directed the PWD engineer to complete it as soon as possible.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi would virtually inaugurate the facility on April 28 during his visit to the state, according to the minister.
The minister emphasised that the work must be completed on schedule, and that the hospital’s OPD will open on April 29.
The cancer hospital of the Assam government under the aegis of Tata Trust will have 44 beds.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Dibrugarh district of Assam on April 28.
During the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the Assam Medical College as well as seven cancer facilities across the state during his visit.
He will also address a public gathering later in the day at Khanikar police reserve field.
Earlier on March 2021, PM Modi had visited Assam 2021 to campaign for the BJP ahead of the Assam Assembly elections.
