Guwahati: In a sensational incident, a man allegedly beat up his aunt with iron and killed her in Biswanath district of Assam.
The incident took place in the Gohpur area of the district.
The accused has been identified as Dhiren Tamoria.
According to reports, Tamoria later hide the body of the deceased inside a septic tank.
However, he tried to keep the matter undercover but after the investigation of locals and police officials the body was recovered.
Meanwhile, the accused is being interrogated by the Assam Police.
Moreover, Tamoira has a criminal history and was previously arrested for alleged involvement in crimes such as theft, abduction, and murder, among others.
It needs to be noted there has been a sporadic upsurge in violent crimes, which has caused residents to be fearful in the state of Assam. Several such examples have recently made headlines around the state.
