Assam police bust gang of ATM fraudsters, three held
Guwahati: Three men had been arrested for their alleged involvement in ATM hacking from Karimganj district of Assam on Wednesday.
The arrestees identified as Veer Bahadur, Anurag Nissar and Anand Kumar. All of them are the resident of Kanpur City in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place at Gach Kalibari road in Karimganj town.
According to reports, the fraudsters were apprehended after employing ATM hacking devices to steal millions of rupees from clients’ bank accounts.
However, the three ATM hackers were arrested by the public and handed over to the Karimganj police.
It may be mentioned that an amount of Rs 1.80 lakh cash and 37 ATM cards were recovered from their possession.
