Assam: Prohibited medicines seized, 1 held in Nalbari
Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police a huge number of illegal stocks of prohibited medicines and arrested a drug trafficker in the connection in Assam’s Nalbari district.
Based on a tip off the Nalbari Police officials launched a search operation in the Rampur, Makalmua area of the district and seized a total number of 8,640 SPAN-TRANCAN PLUS tablets from the accused.
Legal action has been initiated into the matter and further investigation is underway.

Earlier on Saturday Assam Police seized a huge number of contraband tablets and arrested one person in the connection.
The arrestee was identified as Pratap Sonowal.
During a search operation initiated by the Jorhat Police, the officials recovered 1100 numbers of Sampex Plus capsule and 500 Nitrazepam 10 Tablets from his possession.
