Assam Rains: Special Guwahati-Silchar Flight Service from June 18

Guwahati: The Assam government has organized a special jet service between Guwahati and Silchar because the road connectivity between Barak and the Brahmaputra valley has been hampered by floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall in Assam.

Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has organised the flying service and FlyBig Airlines will conduct the special flight starting on Saturday (June 18).

On June 18 and 19, the flight from Guwahati to Silchar will depart at 6 pm, and the flight from Silchar to Guwahati will depart at 7.10 pm, according to an ATDC notification.

The flight will leave Guwahati at 7.45 am and Silchar at 8.55 am beginning June 20.

Passengers will be able to purchase flights at a dedicated counter at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Silchar, and passengers in Guwahati will be able to book tickets at Red River Travels (an ATDC unit) AND Paryatan Bhawan in Paltan Bazar.
