Assam: Rhino carcasses found in Orang National Park

Guwahati: Amid floods and landslides that claimed many lives in Assam, forest officials have found the carcass of a rhino calf in Assam’s Orang National Park in Sonitpur district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the carcass was discovered floating in the lake beside the regional forest officer’s office in the national park.

Reportedly, the rhino calf is suspected to have died as a result of a tiger attack.

However, forest officials said the exact cause of death can be ascertained only through autopsy.
