Guwahati: As many as five people were killed after meeting with a road accident in Sonitpur district of Assam on Friday morning.
According to sources, the vehicle in which they were travelling lost its control and fell into a roadside ditch in Balipara.
Five passengers who were travelling in the vehicle died on spot.
The vehicle was en route to Tezpur when the horrible accident occurred.
One of the deceased was identified as Deepen Bora while the identities of the others are yet to be identified.
Meanwhile, the police have reached the spot and investigating the matter.
