Assam CM: Schools to be reopen soon
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the Night curfew will be lifted and institutions will be reopened in the state from February 15, 2022.
While addressing the media CM Sarma on Sunday the Night Curfew and all other COVID-19 restrictions, according to the Chief Minister, would be withdrawn after the 15th of February if the daily average number of cases does not increase.
Schools, colleges, and universities will be able to resume after February 15 if the situation improves, as previously announced.
The Chief Minister further advised all residents to exercise patience until February 15, after which a final decision will be made in light of the COVID-19 scenario.
On February 5, Assam reported 446 new cases, with 109 of them coming from the Kamrup Metro. The rate of positive is 2.12 percent. There were 16 fatalities reported, with a 97.44 percent recovery rate.
