Guwahati, 16th October: In a successful operation, the Assam Police in Karimganj have seized 219 bottles of banned cough syrup known as Fancidol. The seizure took place at the residence of a village guard secretary, Kamrul Islam, on October 15.
This operation was carried out by the Badarpur police following specific information about the illegal trafficking of these banned cough syrup bottles. The operation occurred in Charaspur village within the Bhanga area. The seized cough syrup bottles are valued at lakhs in the market.
Kamrul Islam, the village guard secretary, has been apprehended for questioning, and the police are actively interrogating him in connection with this seizure.
