Guwahati: A suspected Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) militant was arrested in Siliguri city of West Bengal by the North Bengal Special Task Force of police on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Avinash Roy who is a resident of Srirampur area of Kokrajhar district of Assam.
According to reports, he was living in Siliguri as a labourer for the last six months.
He was arrested from Khalpar area of the city.
Police has initiated operation to nab other members of the proscribed militant group operating out of Siliguri.
It may be mentioned that the accused has been brought before the court and sentenced to 14 days in judicial custody.
