Guwahati: Noted Assamese Actor Pranjit Das passed away on Sunday in Guwahati of Assam.
He breathed his last at around 10 am today in the Metro Hospital.
Das was unwell and undergoing treatment at the hospital since the past two weeks.
The actor reportedly underwent surgery at the Hatsingimari Civil Hospital after passing out on stage during the first week of January’s production of “Poroxunathor Preyoxi” at Theatre Surjya.
He was then shifted to Guwahati’s Metro Hospital for advanced treatment. The actor had reportedly suffered a brain stroke.
It needs to be mentioned that Das was a renowned actor who rose to fame in Assam through mobile theatre.
