Guwahati: In a tragic case of molestation, a woman died of injuries after being repeatedly thrashed by a man in Guwahati on Sunday.
The incident occurred at Raghunath Path in the Fatasil Ambari locality of Guwahati.
According to reports, the man thrashed the woman badly, after which she succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased woman was identified as Maina Bodo by officials.
Police said that an investigation in this regard has been initiated.
Meanwhile, the accused in the case has been identified as Nizam Ali.
However, police are yet to apprehend him.
