Assam’s Unique Jorhat Flyover Inaugurated by Chief Minister
Guwahati, 16th August: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the newly constructed Jorhat Flyover on Wednesday. This flyover introduces a distinct and innovative concept, setting it apart from other flyovers in the state.
Under the flyover, a state-of-the-art badminton court has been built, utilizing the empty space to benefit players. This unique initiative aims to not only make use of the available area but also attract badminton enthusiasts.
The Jorhat Flyover, connecting Jorhat with Na-Ali, marks the first of its kind in the district. The foundation stone for this project was laid by former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in 2019. Completed at a cost of Rs. 87 crore, the flyover stands as a testament to the state’s innovative infrastructure development.
