Cabinet Reshuffle in Odisha: New Cabinet to Take Oath Today

Guwahati: Ahead of the state government’s cabinet reshuffle in Odisha on Sunday, all cabinet ministers had submitted their resignations on Saturday.

The new cabinet will be sworn in today at around 11:45am. The ceremony will take held at the Lok Seva Bhawan’s new convention centre in Bhubaneswar.

Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said that the ministers have begun filing their paperwork. This will be the ministry’s first reorganisation in its three-year history. The procedure must be completed by Monday, as the governor would be leaving Odisha in two days.

The move was made to give new faces in the government a chance ahead of the state’s key 2024 general elections and assembly elections, both of which are scheduled for the same year.

The government of Naveen Patnaik completed three years of his fifth straight term as Chief Minister of Odisha on May 29.
