Guwahati: In yet another case of hit and run reported from Guwahati in Assam on Saturday evening, drunk rider hit a labourer and flees away from the spot.
The incident took place at GS Road of the city.
According to reports, a drunk youth on a four-wheeler collided with a labourer working at the road.
Reportedly, the labourer was installing an electrical department pipe on the road.
The inebriated driver struck the labourer and fled the scene.
Reportedly, the vehicle crashed the employees’ barricades, and one of the labourers was injured as a result.
Meanwhile, the car also collided with a two-wheeler before colliding with the labourer.
The injured labourer identified as Gulshan.
Following the incident, Gulshan was immediately rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) via the 108-emergency service.
