Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi to Address Poll Rally in Meghalaya Today

Guwahati: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi will speak to his first poll-bound rally in Meghalaya on Wednesday.

The former Congress president’s rally will take place at Shillong’s Malki Ground. After the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will make his first public appearance.

Notably, the Wayanad MP did not participate in the party’s campaign in Tripura where voting took place on February 16.

The top leaders of the Congress have not yet been seen campaigning in the three northeastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland, with the exception of party president Mallikarjun Kharge, who spoke briefly on Tuesday at an election rally in Nagaland.

Meanwhile, Kharge was also missing from the campaigning in Tripura.

Mallikarjun Kharge fired a barrage of criticisms at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday claiming that the group and its allies looted the state while speaking to a crowd in Chumoukedima, Nagaland.

Voting will take place in Meghalaya and Nagaland on February 27, while the counting is scheduled on March 2.
