Guwahati: The main suspect in the Shraddha Walkar-like murder in Guwahati Bandana Kalita will be brought before the court on Wednesday.
Bandana Kalita was placed in a four-day police remand by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court. Her time in police custody ends today.
Arup Deka and Dhanjit Deka, two of her accomplices were presented before the court on Monday by Guwahati Police. They were placed on a seven-day police remand. They are currently under the custody of Noonmati Police Station.
On the other hand, Bondona Kalita reportedly admitted during her questioning that the two accomplices had lied at her direction and committed the crime.
It should be noted that Bandana Kalita is the main suspect, having planned the murders of her husband and mother-in-law with Arup and Dhanjit’s assistance.
The mother-son pair were killed, their bodies were chopped and the pieces were placed in a refrigerator for three days before going on a spree disposing off the body parts in Meghalaya.
