Guwahati: All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) of Cotton University threatened to resign from the body on Monday.
According to reports, they threatened to resign the organisation as a result of disagreements with the top management.
One of the members said, “We didn’t receive due respect or importance from the body due to which we, as a whole, decided to resign from it. We also would to inform that we are not planning to join any other party as of now.”
He added that their resignations will not have any bearing on their positions as president and general secretary of the Cotton University Students Union.
Meanwhile, president of the Cotton University Students’ Union Tridib Bhagabati refuted the resignation rumours.
