COVID SOP | Curfew to continue to from 2 PM in Guwahati
Guwahati: The Government of Assam on Monday releasing the new standard operating procedure (SOP) amidst the ongoing COVID situation has announced that there will be no relaxations in the curfew timings in Guwahati.
As per the latest SOP, curfew in Guwahati will continue from 2 PM to 5 AM until further orders. Along with this, the SOP further stated that since Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Angling, Dima Hasao and Charaideo which have recorded less than 400 cases in the past 10 days, curfew timing would continue from 5 PM to 5 AM.
The new SOP did not change any restrictions that were imposed in the last SOP.
The order further stated that the Health Department is now closely monitoring the COVID situation in five districts.
As per reports, there are complete chances of a total lockdown in Cachar, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur and Nagaon.
“In case there is no improvement in Covid status in these districts, stricter restrictions may follow”, the SOP added.
The SOP further added that there will be no relaxations in terms of inter district transport.
