Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has suggested that the Republic Day festivities should cancelled for this year due to the COVID Pandemic. The Veteran leader in twitter said “Getting crowds to cheer the parade as usual would be irresponsible.”
Earlier United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson cancelled his visit as India’s Chief Guest for Republic Day Parade due the new COVID-19 variant.
