Death threats to PM Modi, NIA receives mail

Guwahati: An e-mail was sent to the National Investigation Agency threatening to murder Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to reports, the email’s sender stated that he intends to commit suicide so that the plot will not be revealed.

The sender claimed that at least 20 sleeper cells had been activated in preparation for PM Modi’s assassination.

According to the email, these sleeper cells also have 20 kg of RDX.

In the threat email, he stated that he was willing to damage millions of people alongside Prime Minister Modi.

The mail added, “…I have met with some terrorists, they are going to help with rdx, I am happy that I have got bombs very easily and now I will blast everywhere… I have planned it, 20 sleeper cells will be activated and millions of people will be killed.”

The information was shared with various agencies by the Mumbai branch of the NIA, which received the email.

The correspondence has driven the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and other intelligence organisations into a frenzy, and they are attempting to track down the sender. The sender’s IP address is being tracked by intelligence authorities.

India’s major counter-terrorist task force is the National Investigation Agency.
