Based on a secret information, Dibrugarh Police led by DSP (P) – A. J. Borah, OC Rajib Saikia, TSI Manoranjan Saikia , I/C Gabgarupathar Anupam Gowala launched a operation at Maijan area of Dibrugarh and nabbed one drug peddler Nanu Hazarika with 17 gms of heroin from his procession.
A case is being registered under NDPS act. In another operation on 15th, Dibrugarh police seized fake currency notes of ₹ 21000 (₹500 denomination) and arrested one Afjal Khan from Paltan Bazar area. The accused has been sent to judicial custody. Dibrugarh PS case no. 2206/20 u/s 489(B)/489 (C)/ 34 IPC.
