Guwahati: Assam Police has got major success in its crackdown against drugs and police seized a huge number of drugs from Hailakandi district of Assam on Monday.
The police confiscated drugs worth Rs 3 crores, including 357grams of Heroin and 2.6kg of Yaba tablets.
Following a secret information from sources the state police launched an operation and recovered the drugs at the National Highway 6.
During the operation, the police officials intercepted a Maruti Alto with registration number MZ-02-9626.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, the drugs were found inside the oil tank of the car which was parked near the highway.
Moreover, the police officials have seized the car.
Meanwhile, a legal proceeding has been initiated and further investigation is underway.
