Educational Institutes In Assam’s Nalbari To Remain Closed On June 16
Guwahati: The district administration in the Nalbari district of Assam on Wednesday stated that all educational institutions will be closed on June 16th because of the weather.
The order was issued by the district’s disaster management department.
All educational institutions, both private and government-run, will be closed on Thursday, according to the directive.
The decision was made in light of an Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) report that predicted significant rain in the coming days.
The IMD issued a red alert for Assam and Meghalaya on Tuesday.
According to IMD, numerous locations in Assam and Meghalaya have already received unusually high rainfall with totals of more than 100 mm, 250 mm, or even 300 mm falling in the 24 hours leading up to 8.30 am on Monday (June 13).
The IMD has issued an orange alert for Arunachal Pradesh until June 17 in addition to the red alert for Assam and Meghalaya on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
