Fake Currency racket busted in Nagaon, 2 held

Guwahati: Two persons has been arrested with a large amount of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) from Nagaon district of Assam.

The duo identified as 29-year-old Baharuddin and 32-year-old Malik Kastur. Both of them are the resident of Nagaon.

Following a tip-off from the sources, the police officials launched a search operation in the Dakhin Phutakolong village of the district and arrested two persons.

According to reports, the police officials arrested them and seized Rs 2.45 lakh.

Reportedly, the fake currency note was in Rs 500 denomination.

The police officials seized one Maruti van with registration number AS 21F 6085and one new Pulsar bike without registration number. Two mobile phones were also seized from their possession.

Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated into the matter.
