Guwahati: In a horrific incident, a boy was savagely assaulted by a group of individuals who were apparently inebriated in the GS Road area of Guwahati on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred outside FoodExx restaurant in the Christian Basti area of the city.
According to locals, he was severely beaten by a bunch of boys after approaching them to seek for money.
Locals have also claimed that the police did not arrive at the designated location on time.
According to reports, the boy was later rescued by the people and taken to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by the police.
“We had arrived to Foodex when we noticed this boy crying. We learned that a couple of drunken boys had assaulted him. For a long time, the boy has been crying.
