Guwahati: Sleuths from the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Zonal Unit confiscated 405.27 kg of ganja worth Rs 65 lakh from a truck in Guwahati’s Khanapara area.
According to reports, the truck driver identified as Kumar Sunar was arrested in connection with this incident.
According to an NCB officer, the squad confiscated the contraband from a container truck with the registration number NL 01 AF 3380 near the metro hospital on NH 37, based on reliable information.
The seized Ganja was hidden in a specifically built compartment above the driver’s cabin that opened towards the loading area, according to an NCN officer.
It may be mentioned that the consignment was originated from Agartala in Tripura and was bound for somewhere in Jharkhand.
