Guwahati: A Journalist of Assam died on spot in a tragic road accident at Beltola area of Guwahati on Wednesday.
The journalist was on his scooty who was hit by a city bus.
The deceased has been identified as Mushtaq Alam. Alam was employed as a journalist in a Guwahati-based web portal.
According to eyewitnesses, Mushtaq was riding his scooter when a city bus with the registration no. AS 01 HC 2629 hit him while trying to overtake him.
According to reports, he was travelling from Basistha Mandir to his office which is located on GS Road.
Meanwhile, the city police have already arrived at the spot of the incident. Police have seized the city bus.
