Guwahati, 14th September: On the fourth day of the Autumn session of the Legislative Assembly, the Opposition party staged a walk-out and protested after Speaker Biswajit Daimary refused to discuss the Chief Minister’s wife’s land issue, stating that it was not on the agenda.
Expressing their dissatisfaction with this decision, the Opposition protested and raised slogans, demanding a discussion on the issue. In response, the speaker adjourned the House for 15 minutes as the Opposition members decided to walk out in protest.
The Opposition members held placards and called for an inquiry into the land subsidy issue related to the Chief Minister’s wife. This development highlights the political tensions surrounding the issue and the calls for transparency and accountability in governance.
