Guwahati, 24th February: A youth was killed and another suffered severe injuries in a collision with a speeding dumper truck in Tetelia area of Guwahati on Friday night.
The victims, riding a scooter, were hit from behind by the dumper truck bearing registration number ‘AS 01GC 1285’, according to sources.
The deceased, identified as Himang Kashyap (24), succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident, located in front of the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Meanwhile, the injured pillion rider was immediately transported to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for urgent medical care.
In the aftermath of the tragic incident, authorities have initiated procedures for post-mortem examination of the deceased at GMCH. The community mourns the loss while hoping for the speedy recovery of the injured individual.
